Meet Your Favorite Voice Actors at Syracuse Pop Con 2024!

Get ready Syracuse, New York! On October 5 and 6, Becky Shrimpton, Tracey Hoyt, Matthew Sussman, and Laurie Hymes will be appearing at Syracuse Pop Con! This first-year event promises to be the sensational start of many great things to come. For two exciting days, each of these talented actors will be offering autographs, selfies, and fan meet-and-greet opportunities.



Becky Shrimpton

For the past decade, Becky Shrimpton has enjoyed being a voice actor kids would recognize in games and animation, like Bon-Bon and Funtime Chica in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series, Maggrat in Call of Dragons, Kuva Lich in Warframe, Tex in Next Stop Nowhere, A Lost One in Bendy and the Dark Revival, Hilde and Ramona in Zombie Petshop, and Inkie in Luna, Chip & Inkie: Adventure Rangers Go! She’s an avid movie watcher and specializes her knowledge in Canadian film, which led her to become an award-winning podcast host and producer for brands like Microsoft, The Globe and Mail, and Hollywood Suite.



Tracey Hoyt

Tracey Hoyt has been a beloved figure in the voice acting world for years. Notably, Tracey voiced the first North American Rini in Sailor Moon and Marin in Knights of the Zodiac. Her career further blossomed as she took on lead and recurring roles, including Princess Aura in The New Adventures of Flash Gordon, Mary Beth in Bob & Doug, Me Bear in The Care Bears Big Wish Movie, Courtney Masterson in 6Teen, and various characters in The Cat in The Hat Knows a Lot About That!




Matthew Sussman

Sussman has appeared in numerous films, including Kate & Leopold and Pollock, in which he played the artist Reuben Kadish. Sussman also appeared in three episodes of The Sopranos in 2000 and 2002 as Dr. Douglas Schreck. Other films include John Turturro's Mac and Illuminata. His television work includes appearances in Sex and the City, Law & Order, and the short-lived Peter Berg series Wonderland.

On the New York stage, Sussman appeared in MCC Theater's premiere of Tim Blake Nelson's The Grey Zone, directed by Doug Hughes. He was also a member of the original Broadway company of Angels in America, and the U.S. premiere of Shopping and Fucking with Philip Seymour Hoffman and Justin Theroux. He also had major roles at the Seattle Repertory Theatre, Portland Stage, and Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago.

He worked as a voice actor on many anime dubs, primarily for 4Kids Entertainment. He was the original voice of Meowth in “Pokémon” as well as creating the voice of Slowking in “Pokémon the Movie.” He also voiced Gravos and King Moros in Slayers Next.




Laurie Hymes

Laurie Hymes is a talented voice actor renowned for her work in various beloved franchises. She is best known for voicing Lillie in Pokémon, as well as characters like Pelipper, Popplio, and Primarina. Laurie's voice can also be heard in Super Mario Smash Brothers Ultimate as Abra, in Yu-Gi-Oh! as Sera and Saya, and in Transformers Cyberverse as Swoop. Additionally, she brings life to Sour Grapes in Strawberry Shortcake, Laetitia in Lupin III: The First, Mizore in Liz and the Blue Bird, and the titular character in Caillou. Her extensive range and versatile talent have made her a prominent figure in the world of voice acting
